How I Got My Start
After twenty years as an Executive Business Manager in Findlay, Ohio, I made a career change and became a licensed healthcare agent.
I have always enjoyed finding solutions to help others and quickly saw how overwhelming Medicare was for family and friends. I knew I could help people better understand their healthcare options and ease their stress, so I got to work and started my business. Over the last 5 years, I have been helping Medicare eligible individuals in Northwest Ohio, building wonderful friendships along the way.
My Services
I am Committed to helping people find the right plan for their needs
Healthcare
Healthcare Insurance is something everyone needs but can be very costly.
Scenarios:
Employer does not offer insurance or premiums are not affordable
Over the age to be on your parents' insurance
Under 65
COBRA is ending soon
Self employed and need coverage
Let's sit down together and find a plan that works for you and your family. There are many options to choose from based on your needs.
I have several carriers I work with including Affordable Care Act plan carriers where you may qualify for assistance based on criteria.
Medicare
Medicare can be overwhelming.
You are probably seeing a lot of ads on TV, receiving a lot of mail and getting a lot phone calls leaving you unsure which plan is right for you.
During our appointment I will explain all parts of Medicare and answer any questions you have.
Parts of Medicare
-
Original Medicare
-
Prescription Drug Plans
-
Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)
-
Supplement Plans
(You will need to sign a Scope of Appointment stating what products you want to discuss (this is required by Medicare and does not sign you up for anything).
There are additional options that you may qualify for based on your financial need such as Medicaid or LIS (Low Income Subsidy). These programs are either offered through your local Job and Family Services or through the Social Security Administration.
I represent multiple Medicare carriers because I believe it is important to find you the best solution, with the most benefits, at the least amount of cost based on your financial and health needs.
I do not offer all Medicare plans. Any information I provide is limited to those plans I do offer - 9 carriers with multiple place options. You can always contact www.medicare.gov, 1-800-Medicare or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) for your plan choices.
Medicare Works With
Did you know you can have Medicaid or Veterans Benefits and they work with your Medicare
Medicaid
There are many levels of Medicaid and if you qualify for any of the 4 levels base on income and assets it will pay for your Part B Premium.
Some levels work together with Medicare Advantage Plans to increase your benefits and improve your quality of life as well.
If you have questions and want to apply you need to contact your LOCAL Job and Family Service Office in your County.
Then I can help you choose a Medicare Plan that fits your needs.
LIS (Extra Help Prescriptions)
When you apply for benefits through the Social Security Office there are questions regarding LIS (Low Income Subsidy). To qualify it is a sliding scale based on income. If you qualify this could help pay your prescription drug premium and/or lower the cost of your medications.
You would still need a prescription drug plan that is creditable coverage and LIS will work with the plan.
Veterans Benefits
There are many levels of Veterans Benefits plus TriCare and Champ VA. Most of the time veterans also have Medicare.
Depending on how you are utilizing the VA for your medical or prescription drug needs there may be a Medicare Advantage Plan that works to help you save money and increase additional benefits separate from the VA.
I can help you evaluate those options.
***Plus remember it is always good every 2-3 years to visit your local Veterans Office in your county to see if there are other benefits that you qualify for. You Served Our Country and you earned your benefits. Thank you for your service
Additional Insurance Options
Designed with You in Mind
Dental
Anyone can purchase a dental plan at any time. Some plans cover your cleanings and annual x-rays. When you pick a plan there are different levels of comprehensive coverage to choose from. These plans can be individual or family plans.
Original Medicare does not cover dental care, but some Part C Advantage plans do under additional benefits.
Call me to schedule an appointment to help you find the right plan based off your dentist of choice.
Vision
For those who wear glasses or contacts, vision coverage could be beneficial for your annual visits and getting new glasses.
Medicare typically covers standard cataract surgery with 1 pair of glasses but does not normally cover exams unless there is an underlying medical condition such as diabetes.
Medicare Part C Advantage Plans sometimes offer vision coverage.
Call me to schedule an appointment and review your options.
Hearing
Hearing aids are typically very pricy equipment but necessary to hear and communicate with others.
Medicare Part C Advantage Plans sometimes offer a hearing benefit for testing and equipment.
Call me to schedule a Medicare review to see if there are options to help you save money when it comes to your hearing.
Supplemental Cancer, Heart Attack and Stroke Policies
It is way too often that you have a friend or family member who is suffering from a diagnosis of cancer, heart attack or stroke. Treatment could be very costly and may require expensive medications or travel for care.
Purchasing a supplemental plan early, while you are healthy, could be a big blessing if you were to experience one of these major health situations.
Call me to schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns and see if there is a plan that fits your wants.
Hospital Indemnity Plans
No matter your age, the biggest concern is out of pocket medical bills from a planned surgery or a trip to the emergency room.
A hospital indemnity plan might be the perfect fit to go with your insurance or Medicare plan. These plans sometimes pay a lump sum benefit if you were to go in the hospital or a per day amount.
You would submit your bills to your plan after you go home and the supplement company would send you a check directly based on your plan's coverage. This way you are able to pay your portion of the bills after they process through your health insurance carrier. Stress is eliminated and your pocketbook is not seeing a huge unforeseen dip in savings.

Let's sit down and find you the right path to address all your needs for the future (419)-348-7041
Life insurance is a great tool when planning for the financial security of your loved ones by covering expenses like mortgage payments and other everyday living costs.
Life insurance protection is available from birth on up. The younger you are when you purchase a policy the more affordable the cost.
Term Coverage is the least expensive and is guaranteed as long as premium is paid.
Whole Life Coverage is a conservative option that has a level premium, a savings benefit and guarantee benefit. These policies include a cash value account, which is the investment component in permanent policies.
Universal Life Coverage is similar to Whole Life but has some flexibility in premium if there is cash value built up as you get older, it can be used to help pay premiums. Beneficiaries only receive the death benefit.
